With the New Year, there are new wines to discover at Bevy’s Liquor World!

With the new year, there are new wines to discover at Bevy's Liquor World. I'm excited to introduce you to this producer, which is definitely one of my favorites. In 1921, Lorenzo Scavino, and his son, Paolo, founded Paolo Scavino in Castiglione Faletto, a small village in the Barolo region of Italy. Enrico Scavino, along with his daughters, Enrica and Elisa, now run the family estate, which is in its fourth generation. Their wines always exude power and grace.

2022 Paolo Scavino Barbera D'Alba offers aromas of plums, pomegranate, cherries, and nuances of blood orange, sage, and thyme. The mouthfeel is supple, with all of the above wrapped around a juicy, and structured finish. I thoroughly enjoyed this with Seggiano Marinara with chicken sausage and pasta. One of the best bottles of Italian wine in the store right now, at any price.
