Sheild Winery

Wed, May 17, 23

These lovely wines hail from Nelson, New Zealand. This South Island enclave is protected by the surrounding topography and the water proximity lends to a warmer climate and sunnier days. The warmth is evident in the wines with a plusher and juicier mouth-feel. With a combined 50 years experience in the wine industry from Nelson, Marlborough and the World, winemaker Trudy Sheild and sales guy Blair Gibbs have a partnership based on quality and success.

Sauvignon Blanc 2022

A powerful fruit driven wine displaying notes of citrus and pineapple. Layers of juicy tropical fruit make this the perfect Spring sipper. It follows with a dry and persistent finish.

Pinot Meunier Rosé 2022

Pale pink with a perfumed nose of floral and watermelon notes. Just a hint of residual sugar accentuates the fruit notes and supported by the juicy acidity. A touch of salinity shows a nod to the coastal proximity, and stretches the wine out to a long dry finish.
