2018 Escudo Rojo Origine Cabernet Sauvignon

We did so well with the 2018 Escudo Rojo Origine Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile, that we bought as much as we could get our hands on of the same vintage. This is solely crafted from the original vineyard planted in 1999 by Baron Philippe De Rothschild roughly 28 miles due south of Santiago, Chile. On the bouquet, the wine offers loads of plum, cherry, blackberry, and a nuance of mint.

The mouthfeel is quite rich with blackberry, cherry, and cassis wrapped around a core of chocolatey tannins. This is the perfect wine for grilled steak and vegetables.
