2018 Bodegas Pinna Fidelis Crianza Ribera del Duero is a bold and rich wine. Aromas of black plums, blackberries, spiced cherries, bay leaf, sage and saddle leather are simply splendid! The mouthfeel is robust and delivers plums, blackberries, dried orange peel, savory herbs, baker's chocolate and a wonderful nuance of black tea that lingers on the structured finish. This is the perfect wine to pour for yourself if you love Howell Mountain Cabernet, but don't want to spend $75 or more and then have to cellar it 10 years to arrive at the complexity that this wine offers at a mere 5 years of bottle age.
