FEL Anderson Valley Pinot Noir

Wed, May 10, 23

Bevy's Littleton Wine of the Week pays homage to the early spring and is a great option for Mother's Day. FEL Wines Pinot Noir is incredibly beautiful this time of year, and would make a great gift for mom!

Cliff Lede made a name for himself in the Stag's Leap district of Napa Valley. In 2009 his sights were set on the Anderson Valley and Savoy vineyard, where he created the FEL label, with focus given to Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The letters in FEL represent Florence Elsie Lede, founder Cliff Lede’s mother, a home winemaker who provided the early inspiration for Cliff’s love of wine. Growing up in Alberta, Canada, Cliff remembers the tulip as signifying the end of winter, bringing with it a freshness and excitement of warmer days ahead. The FEL Wines label, featuring an illustration of an opening tulip, is a tribute to Florence’s passion for gardening.

FEL is a great example of Anderson Valley Pinot Noir. On the nose, you'll smell loads of pretty fruit; notably cherry and cranberry, with some cocoa and a touch of earthiness. On the palate, even more luscious red fruit, with velvety tannins and just enough acidity to pair with those brunch favorites.
