Charles Smith outdid himself with this wine that shows off black fruits, campfire ash and liquid olive notes followed by warm earth, dark coffee and stone. A full flavored experience that Jeb Dunnuck gave 95 points while James Suckling surpassed him with a score of 97 and a "Top 100 Wine Value of 2021". Wine Spectator hailed this as a contender on the "10 Marvelous Washington Reds at 90+ points" list, and the scores kept pouring in. Planted on one of the oldest vineyards on the Wahluke Slope, the Sundance Vineyard allows for later ripening and greater concentration of flavors to develop.
