2019 la MAIALINA gertrude Rosso Toscana

Wed, Aug 09, 23

At Bevy's Liquor World we always look forward to the new release of la MAIALINA gertrude Rosso Toscana. Named for the Cinta Sinese heirloom breed of pigs originating in the area of Siena in the early 1300s, and is the only Tuscan native pig to survive extinction.

2019 la MAIALINA gertrude Rosso Toscana is a bigger wine than its predecessors. The bouquet shows a wealth of plums, morello cherries, and a nuance of Químen-hóngcha tea from China (known as the "burgundy of teas"). The mouthfeel is deep and rich, showing roasted strawberries, plums, cherry liqueur, and that beautiful tea nuance wrapped around the supple tannins. Enjoy this with pasta and red sauce or grilled burgers with mozzarella and a sun-dried tomato basil aioli.
