2011 Owen Roe Union Gap Vineyard Yakima Valley Red Wine

Fri, Jun 09, 23

Owen Roe Wines was established in 1999 by David and Angelica O'Riley. Their passion, dedication, and hard work helped them create one of the most exciting portfolios of wines in the Pacific Northwest. 2011 Owen Roe Union Gap Vineyard Yakima Valley is a re-release from the winery that is showing beautifully right now at 12 years of age.

Aromas of black raspberries, plums, cassis, violets, and underbrush. The mouthfeel is satiny, and focused with a beam of bramble fruits, black cherries, violets, and baker's chocolate on the beautifully balanced finish. 38% Cabernet Franc, 29% Merlot, 24% Cabernet Savignon and 9% Malbec. This is a tour de force in winemaking.

After tasting this, we thought, go big, or go home and bought as much as we could get our hands on.
