The best everyday drinking value red wine!

Once in a blue moon, a wine is presented to the wine buying team at Bevy's Liquor World that impresses us for its amazing price to quality ratio. We are always on a tear to find those wines for your table. Telmo Rodríguez is what you can call a rockstar winemaker. He's under 50 years old, and cut his teeth working for his father as winemaker at his iconic Remelluri Winery, and also at producers like Bordeaux powerhouse Chateau Cos d'Estournel in Saint-Estèphe, and for Rhone Valley superstar Gérard Chave (which would be like being Paul McCartney taking someone under his wing!) Telmo is making 20 different wines from 10 appellations in Spain. He is as proud of his $10 wines as he is of $125 wines.

2020 Al-Muvedre Tinto Monastrell from Alicante, Spain is a play on the French word for the varietal Mourvedre. Monastrell has taken the world by storm and for good reason.  80 year old vines are bush trained. Fermented in cement vats and stainless steel to preserve the fruit. Aromas of plums, raspberries, flowers, wild herbs. The mouthfeel is perfectly balanced and has plenty of showy fruit and herb nuances that finish juicy and bright. Perfect for pasta and sausage dishes, burgers, pizza or even Mexican food.
