"The Dude" Napa Valley Red by Canepa Koch

"The Dude" abides, and you should imbibe our Wine of the Week! This big, luscious red blend from Canepa Koch winery in Napa Valley is composed of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Malbec, a classic Bordeaux makeup. Canepa Koch works with some fantastic growers to source fruit from multiple Napa Valley Ava’s including, Calistoga, Coombsville, Rutherford, and Howell Mountain. This wine is a great companion for those cooler nights and richer meals as we approach fall weather.

From the winery: A bouquet of ripe blackberries, black cherries, and plums are complemented by cassis and currants. Hints of cedar, tobacco and vanilla from oak aging contribute to the profile. On the palate, this blend displays excellent structure and balance. Medium to full body with a velvety texture that coats the mouth. Ripe black fruits dominate the palate with notes of dark chocolate, toasted oak, and a hint of baking spices.
