The ultimate luxury Syrah for your Thanksgiving meal!

Fri, Nov 17, 23

Charles Smith is the visionary winemaker behind iconic brands like K Vintners and Substance. Charles has received over 300 scores of 95 points and above and over 1400 scores of 90 points and above from leading wine publications. Today, House of Smith is the largest independent and winemaker owned winery in Washington state. Charles spent a decade touring Europe as a rock band manager in Denmark, before returning to the United States to immerse himself in the emergent music scene in Seattle Washington. He found a way to explore his burgeoning interest in wine by opening a wine shop on Bainbridge Island, but Charles felt compelled to create the wines, not to sell them. From his first vintage of 1999 K Vintners Syrah, to the opening in 2015 of the House of Smith Wines Jet City in Seattle, Washington, the largest urban winery on the West Coast. Charles Smith has left an undeniable impact on the wine industry.

2019 K Vintners The Cattle King Syrah Upland Vineyard from the Snipes Mountain A.V.A. shows aromas of black cherries, cassis, lavender, fresh cracked peppercorn and sage. The mouthfeel is decadently rich, with an abundance of blackberries, cherries, blueberries, wrapped around a core of perfectly integrated mineral driven tannins on the long finish. This is the ultimate luxury Syrah for your Thanksgiving meal. Compare this to wines from the northern Rhone Valley at twice the price! Only 550 cases produced.
